DJ D-Xtreme

d-xtreme (46K) D-Xtreme picked up his first set of turntables at age 13. First he began spinning top 40 at a skating rink and then moved over to playing hip hop at its inception. After visiting several different clubs througout Florida in 1987, he was introduced to his new found love known today as "electronica". Inspired by Kimball Colliins & DJ Icey, who originally brought the sound to Orlando, he began playing several small venues until he was offered a position at a new dance club "The Abyss" with partner DJ Stylus. In 1992 "The Abyss" became one of Florida's premiere underground dance clubs for the underground sound.

As his popularity grew, D-Xtreme began to develop a following that lead to the next move. The Club@Firestone, one of the largest clubs in Florida, offered him a resident position. Firestone became the premiere late nite club in Florida. Due to it's success Firestone was featured in several magazines including rolling stones and UK Mixmag(4times). D-Xtreme also did several interviews and was featured on a special on MTV and an article in Rolling Stones Magazine. During this time D-Xterme was able to showcase his talents with the likes of basically every DJ from around the globe.

In 1997 D-Xtreme formed his own record label Pharmacy Recordings. To date there are only 3 releases with the fourth getting ready to launch. The reason for the hiatus is due to the breakup of his band "The Linx." After putting in a lot of time, effort, blood & sweat the band broke up. After that D-Xtreme decide to take a break from the whole music end of things. Now rested and fresh D-Xtreme plans on making his much anticipated return in 2008. Look out!
