DJ Voodoo

DJ Voodoo is no stranger to the break beat and electro scene. Being the founder of Black Magic Records which he opened with Mike Scott in 1995, and being a true pioneer of "old school" breaks, he has made quite a name for himself in his 20 year stretch of DJing on the underground circuit. Playing along side some big names such as Crystal Method, Rabbit in the Moon, Uberzone, Simply Jeff, D-Xtreme, and DJ Craze, just to name a few, he has always been respected for his style of mixing and his party-rocking track selection. Releasing a few classics such as "Every Body Thinks I'm High," "Voodoo Nation," and The Slam EP which he produced with The Liquid Method he has been able to keep his game on point throughout the years. A few other tracks pumped out by Voodoo that have stood out over the years are remixes he whipped up for Omar Santana, "The Tweakers" and "Madame Mercury," both of which have torn up dance floors left and right all over the break beat scene.

In 2000, Voodoo took a break from the electronic music scene till 2007. Since his return he has not been still. Putting his label back on the map, Voodoo is back in the studio working on some new tracks to release on Black Magic Records that will certainly have the same effect as his previous releases. Working with all new artists such as Doc Nasty, ABH and quite a few more up and coming all stars he has many projects in store for the near future helping these artists get their sound out there and doing some collaboration tracks as well. One major project Voodoo has in the works currently is a mix CD in which he has collaborated with old school veteran DJ D-Xtreme of Pharmacy Recordings to put together a mix CD containing all new material from himself and also artists that have freshly been signed on to his label.
